An Artist's Life.

What is life? What makes us so happy? Friends, family, and a little of both. There is a fine line between happiness, and comfort. If you are comfortable, you are happy, if you are happy, you may not be comfortable. I have learned that life cannot be summed up into six small words; there are no perfect words to describe how you feel, how you dress, and what happens in your life. Life is beautiful. Life is beautiful imperfection waiting to happen. Every second of every day; the next second awaits. And we wait for it, hoping to get one more glance of the miraculous. Amazing things happen all around us; but how in the world could we put our feelings into words? For words are quiet feelings that are never spoken, and thoughts are the loudest whispers of our hearts. Even though these six words describe me, I am much more than meets the eye. I am unspeakable, untouchable, and I do not exist in the mortal world. I am not a god, nor a commoner. I am not only an artist, but I am an expressionist.

I am an "artist with a passion to express."

I am Emily.

  1. This is an amazing post. I was quite moved by your descriptions here, and the words, "Life is beautiful imperfection waiting to happen." Also, "amazing things happen all around us." I happen to agree--strongly!! Really great video clip that you added. We are going to explore the question "What if money didn't matter" towards the end of the semester when we read "...Morrie."

I've made this the fb blog post of the day! Hope you check it out there:
